The MoMA
New York City, NY | March 2020

“MoMA is a place that fuels creativity, ignites minds, and provides inspiration. It’s home to extraordinary exhibitions and collection of modern and contemporary art. It’s often identified as one of the largest and most influential museums of modern art in the world.” – MoMA Site
I took a 4 day trip in March 2020 to visit a college friend who’d recently moved to Harlem. This city is something else! Equal parts exciting and intimidating. Normalize eating spaghetti at 4 am!! My favorite experiences were at the museums, including the MoMA and the MET. I was lucky enough to be there on the free first Friday.
I respect classical art so much. But modern art is the most relatable to me, and how I aspire my work to look.
“I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of the stars makes me dream.” – Vincent Van Gogh
Here are some of my favorite pieces of art at the museum.

Above all else, I was stoked to see Starry Night. I love this painting so much that I got it tattooed on my forearm last year.

My friend worked during the nights, so I went by myself. There’s something so peaceful about exploring a museum alone; completely immersed in art from the most talented people in the world.
Up next: The MET.
